Mohamad Forouzanfar

Mohamad Forouzanfar received the PhD degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Ottawa, Ottawa, ON, Canada, in 2014. From 2014 to 2017, he held postdoctoral positions in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at University of Ottawa, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Harvard University, and Department of Electrical Engineering at Stanford University. From 2017 to 2020, he worked as a Research Scientist in the Center for Health Sciences at SRI International, Menlo Park, CA, USA. He is currently an Associate Professor at École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS), Université du Québec, Montreal, QC, Canada.
He has over 15 years of experience in developing intelligent wearable sensing and imaging systems for physiological monitoring and health management. As part of his commitment to knowledge and technology translation, he has also consulted several industrial companies and government sectors in the design of smart wearable medical devices. His area of expertise is in applied signal processing, machine learning, and instrumentation for biomedical applications.
Dr. Forouzanfar is a Senior Member of the IEEE and an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement.
